Dangote Refinery Lowers PMS Price

Nigeria’s Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for marketers, bringing it down to N970 per litre.

Anthony Chiejina, spokesperson for Dangote Group, shared this update in a statement on Sunday.

The refinery, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, has decreased the petrol price by N20, from N990 to N970 per litre.

This decision comes as the company reaffirms its commitment to maintaining the quality and standards of its products.

“Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N990/litre to N970/litre for marketers. As the year draws to a close, this gesture is our way of expressing gratitude to the people of Nigeria for their steadfast support in making the refinery a reality. We also extend our thanks to the government for its backing, as this aligns with efforts to promote domestic enterprise for our collective benefit.

“While we will not compromise on the quality of our petroleum products, we assure you that our offerings are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

“We are committed to increasing production to meet and exceed domestic fuel demand, thereby alleviating any concerns about supply shortages.”

This announcement follows an agreement between the refinery and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria for direct fuel purchases.
