Dangote: Our Storage Holds Over N600bn Worth of Petrol

Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited, has announced that his refinery possesses a substantial supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to adequately fulfill Nigeria’s local demand.

The billionaire made this statement following a tour of the refinery by a delegation from the Zambian government, headed by Minister of Energy, Mr. Makozo Chikote.

Dangote revealed that the refinery currently holds “more than half a billion litres of petroleum and products valued at over 600 billion Naira.”

He stated, “At this moment, we have more than half a billion litres in storage. The refinery is generating sufficient refined products, including gasoline, diesel, and kerosene, to satisfy 100 percent of Nigeria’s needs.”

Furthermore, Dangote emphasized that the refinery project, like previous initiatives, is not intended solely for Nigeria.

“We need to uphold the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement. Our focus is on exploring trade opportunities with other African nations.”
