PETROAN Welcomes NNPC’s Price Reduction as Relief for Nigerians

The Petroleum Retailers Outlets Owners Association (PETROAN) has praised the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) for its recent reduction in petrol prices.

This announcement was made by PETROAN spokesperson Joseph Obele on Monday.

NNPCL has lowered its retail price from N965 per litre to N880 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

In response, PETROAN’s National President, Billy Gillis-Harry, stated that this price decrease will provide significant relief to many Nigerians who are struggling financially.

“This price reduction will be a tremendous relief for numerous Nigerians facing economic challenges,” he remarked. “The decrease in PMS prices is anticipated to have a positive effect on the lives of Nigerians.”

The price cut by NNPCL comes in the wake of Dangote Refinery’s decision on February 28, 2025, to lower its petrol price to N880 per litre at MRS filling stations.
